Our team Metron I driving our converted Dacia Sandero won Rallye Monte Carlo des energies nouvelles in two categories: – consumption overall http://www.acm.mc/documents/6/EN-24-Classement_Consommation.pdf – rallye in classification electric vehicles http://www.acm.mc/documents/6/EN-34-Classement_Combine_Categorie_1.pdf Due to a huge rock on the road and following collision, Superpiki finished its race early, but still managed to came 9th! Saturday is the most important day in the competition. Superpiki started its second race at 7am and is expected to finish its third one olny at 2am on Sunday. Dacia started its return from Aix-Provence to Monaco in the morning and is expected to start its final race around Monte Carlo at 6pm. In the
Friday is the first day of competition for our Superpiki team – Dejan and Gašper. 150km of road, driving through Monaco, France, Italy and back. We keep our fingers crossed! Dacia is also on the road today – driving another relly all the way to Aix-en-Provence.
Andrej and Frederic successfully finished their first day of racing and after 462km of driving arrived on time to Monte Carlo. Results will be known in the morning, when the total consumption will be measured.
On Thursay, Andrej and Frederic are the first ones to compete on relly with Dacia. On 462km long road, they will have only 1 charging option. Because of the difficulty of the relly, only 3 electric vehicles are competent to compete (other vehicles are hybrid or LPG). Dacia needed special preperation (as can be seen
Another team started their jurney to Monte Carlo in snow storm on Monday. EV Superpiki will be driven by Dejan Grabnar from Oprema Ravne, wih Gašper Jereb from Metron as a copilot. Electric Beattle is also ready – it will be a great attraction in Marina Monte Carlo, when transporting petty guests during the relly.
Between 20th and 24th of March 2013, Metron Institute will attend the prestigious Rallye Monte Carlo Des Energies Nouvelles 2013 with two teams. The first team, which competes with the Dacia car, joined forces with the French Lycee Paul Heraud GAP. So the driver Andrej Pečjak put navigation in the hands of Frenchman Frederic Mlynarczyk.
