Its purpose is to prevent you from<br \/>\ngetting a fatal electric shock if you touch live part, such as a bare copper wire under high voltage. RCDs offer a level of personal protection that ordinary<br \/>\nfuses\/circuit-breakers cannot provide. RCD constantly monitors the electric current flowing through one or more circuits which it protects. If it detects electricity<br \/>\nflowing down an unintended path, such as through a person who has touched a live part, the RCD will switch the circuit off very quickly, significantly reducing the risk<br \/>\nof death or serious injury. Every portable charging station has integrated Type A 30mA AC + 6mA DC RCD what ensures maximum possible level of personal<br \/>\nprotection as it protects users from AC, pulsating DC and pure DC leakage currents.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>RENAULT ZOE NOTES:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>This portable EV charging station is designed to work also with <strong>Renault ZOE (all motor versions are supported)<\/strong> what means Renault ZOE won&#8217;t damage this portable charger &#8211; won&#8217;t weld internal contactors!<\/li>\n<li>Before charging starts Renault ZOE&#8217;s on-board charger system checks if the wall socket from which you want to charge the car is correctly connected to a GOOD electrical grid otherwise ZOE won&#8217;t start charging. The wall socket\/grid must have the following characteristics:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Phase sequence in wall socket must be in clockwise rotation (L1-L2-L3). If the wall socket phase sequence is L3-L2-L1 (counterclockwise) some Zoe versions won&#8217;t charge! To check phases and phase sequence you can use our <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/eauto.si\/metron-shop\/?product=phase-tester\">PHASE TESTER<\/a><\/strong> device.<\/li>\n<li>Electrical grid behind wall socket must have low impedance (cables with conductor cross sections must have at least 2.5mm2)<\/li>\n<li>Earthing\/grounding: earth resistance should be less than 100 Ohm<\/li>\n<li>The voltage difference between neutral and earth should be very low (if this is a problem it can be solved by an experienced electrician in the way neutral and earth are connected together in a wall socket if there is no RCD protection in the building or before<span id=\"transmark\"><\/span> RDC protection device if it exists)<a id=\"RCD-5\"><\/a><\/li>\n<li>Wall socket RCD (Ground fault protection) device shall be Type A (30mA) or Type A with added 6mA DC RCD or Type B or NONE as this portable charging station features integrated RDC (30mA AC + 6mA DC) for maximum user safety. RCD Type AC (30mA) is not appropriate, because it can be activated by Renault ZOE charging system!<\/li>\n<li>When charging at single phase (using CEE to schuko&nbsp;adapter)&nbsp;it is important that phase and neutral are correctly positioned.
