Over-the-air (OTA) software update procedure

ATTENTION: OTA update is only available with Metron Charge Control application version 1.20 or higher. To update older versions of the smart charging stations, the Micro EVSE 3 charge controller must be brought or sent to Metron, Podnart 33, 4244 Podnart, Slovenia. The update is free of charge.

Update process for charging stations:

• Update the ISO module if present, if not, skip this step:
  • Instructions are located in the Charge Control application under “Settings” in the ISO module update window.
  • The latest firmware version is available here: https://eauto.si/OTA/Micro_EVSE_3_ISO.bin
• Update the OCPP module if present, if not, skip this step:
  • Connect the OCPP module to the internet via ETH or Wi-Fi.
  • Enter the following address in the OCPP update box: https://eauto.si/OTA/Micro_EVSE_3_OCPP.bin and press “Start OTA update”.
  • When asked for a password, enter “param2011”.
  • The OTA update takes approx. 5 – 10 minutes.
  • Alternatively, OCPP module could be updated from any OCPP backend system that allows it.
• Update the Metron Charge control app (on iPhones, we recommend using Chrome browser, Android and Windows have no reported issues):
  • Press Start OTA update in the update window
  • Enter “metron” for the username and “20dgfh11” for the password.

ATTENTION: OTA update is only available with Metron Dynamic Power Control application version v3.20 or higher. To update older versions of 3FD-3 or 3FD-3.1 wireless dynamic modules, you only need to bring or send the unit to Metron, Podnart 33, 4244 Podnart, Slovenia. The update is free of charge.

For the 3FD-3 or 3DF-3.1 Wireless Dynamic Module:

• In the Metron Dynamic Power Control application, go to the “Settings” menu
• press the Start OTA update button in the OTA update window
• enter “metron” for username and “20dgfh11” for password
